Our Mission:
To promote basketball officiating excellence on all levels of
competition
by providing quality instruction and preserving the integrity
of the game.
Wayne
is currently Supervisor of Officials in the USA South
Athletic Conference. He was
a Division I official for 30 years working in the Colonial
Athletic Association, Sun Belt Conference, Southern Conference,
ECAC-South, Big South Conference, MEAC, Mason-Dixon Conference,
CIAA, ODAC, Dixie and active FIBA official. He has both
NCAA
and NIT Tournament experience. He has 28 years experience
in camp instruction in addition to numerous lectures
and clinics.
He has a wealth of experience in teaching basketball rules
and mechanics.
GREGG BENNETT
school director
Gregg is currently Supervisor
of Officials in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).
He worked as a Division I official for 20 years in the Colonial
Athletic Association, Southern Conference, Sun Belt Conference,
Big South, CIAA, ODAC and Dixie Conferences. Gregg's tournament
experience includes the NIT Tournaments assignments, CAA,
Southern Conference, CIAA, ODAC and Dixie Conference Tournaments
and includes numerous ODAC and Dixie Conference Championship
games. He was also selected to work the NCAA DIII Championship
Game twice during his career. Having been a college basketball
coach as well as his experience as an official and Supervisor,
Gregg brings all perspectives of the game to the camp and
campers!.
DENNIS ASHCRAFT

SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Dennis has
33 years of officiating experience including the NCAA
Tournament, Dixie Conference
Championship Games, ODAC Championship Games ,the NCAA Division
III Championship game, and numerous VA High School League
State Tournaments. In addition, he has many years of
classroom
experience instructing new officials and 18 years of experience
in camp instruction. He is currently working in the USA
South,
ODAC, and VHSL. To every camper who attends the D3 Super
Camp Dennis is the life of the weekend and coordinates
all of the
social calendar of events.

Enrollment: Limited to 50
campers to provide personal instruction for all levels of officiating.
Living Accommodations: Double
occupancy, air conditioned rooms with large bathrooms on each
end of the floor on the U of R campus.
Physical Examination: Every
camper is required to have a complete physical exam before attending
this camp. A medical form will be sent upon receipt of registration
form and deposit.
Camp Format: Morning and afternoon
lectures and skull sessions. Games - morning, afternoon, and evening.
Medical Facilities: Complete
medical facilities are available on campus. Professional trainers
and their assistants are available.
Equipment Needed (Mandatory):
Several black and white striped official's shirts, black or dark
blue shorts, whistles, referee shoes, towels, pillow, bed linens,
personal items, blank VHS videotape, cassette recorder and tapes
(optional), and extra batteries.
Cost: $375.00 - Includes meals,
lodging, tuition, accident insurance, tape observations and camp
t-shirt. $200.00 deposit due with registration, balance due by
June 1, 2012. (Deposit
is nonrefundable after May 1, 2012.) Checks returned for insufficient
funds will prohibit camp attendance
unless cash payment is made in advance.

Nolan Fine, NBA Official, former collegiate official in
ACC, Metro, and CAA, who has worked the NCAA Championship Game;
other coaches and officials to be announced.

Daily Evaluations
Each camper will be videotaped
and evaluated daily by an outstanding staff of observers who will
provide personal attention to improving the officiating level
